The goal of the fellowship is to incorporate local narratives into the climate change discourse, highlighting the unique experiences of Global South communities and ensuring their voices are included in global climate discussions. Our Youth-led Climate Action program will facilitate capacity-building workshops, knowledge exchanges, and events that enable community members to share their experiences.
Selected fellows from countries of South and Southeast Asia will:
- Engage in workshops and knowledge exchanges to strengthen their ability to contribute to climate action.
- Gain knowledge in climate science and participatory research to effectively contribute to climate change discussions and actions.
- Document how extreme heat affects vulnerable communities, integrating local voices and experiences into urban governance and the climate change discourse.
- Contribute to including local, lived experiences in the climate change conversation, highlighting the unique challenges faced by Global South communities and ensuring their voices are represented in global discussions.
