PRIA’s Youth-n-Democracy Fellowship, started in 2019, is a learning program for college students (18 to 25 years) intending to develop a cadre of youth who become active citizens by learning the principles and values of Democracy In Everyday Life and become willing to contribute to the democratic functioning of families, communities and society throughout their adult lives. The fellowship is divided into four modules- Self, Identity, Society, and Change, and expects fellows to design, plan, and execute social action projects on issues of their concerns.

PRIA Youth used the month of October to conclude the 9-month journey that the first-ever YnD Fellowship undertook and learn about the individual and collective challenges, learning, and experiences of the YnD Fellows. Fellows shared their experiences and learnings of working on several issues with different target audiences during the presentations. The presentations were conducted on 21st and 28th October and were attended by the current batch of fellows, and colleagues from MFF, PRIA, and PSD. The presentations were also attended by Yougan Tamang (Founder, Sikkim Chronicle), Vaishali Jethava from Gender Labs, Vaishnavi Suresh (Photographer, writer, and campaigner), and Rajakumari Michaelsamy (Humans Rights Educator).
