On 8 July 2026, PRIA welcomed a high-level delegation from the NGO Federation of Nepal (NFN) for an interactive exchange on strengthening civil society collaboration, sustainable development, and regional partnerships. The 10-member delegation was led by Mr. Arjun Kumar Bhattarai, President, NGO Federation of Nepal, and engaged with teams from PRIA and Martha Farrell Foundation.

The meeting began with introductions of all delegation members and PRIA colleagues, followed by an overview of PRIA's work and institutional initiatives. The team presented the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education, the Knowledge for Change (K4C) global network, the DECODE project, and PRIA's Water Body Rejuvenation initiative, highlighting the organisation's commitment to participatory research, knowledge co-creation, climate resilience, and community-led development.

Representatives from Martha Farrell Foundation (MFF) and the PRIA International Academy (PIA) also shared insights into their programmes and capacity-building initiatives.

Dr. Tandon reflected on PRIA's journey and shared the evolution of the civil society sector in India and the role of participatory research in promoting democratic governance, citizen participation, and sustainable development.

Mr. Bhattarai shared the experiences of the NFN, discussing the evolving landscape of civil society in Nepal, current opportunities and challenges, and the importance of strengthening collaboration across South Asia.

The visit concluded with a productive exchange of ideas and reaffirmed the shared commitment of PRIA and the NGO Federation of Nepal to fostering stronger regional partnerships.
