Seminar on "Marginalised Voices, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Community Media: A Multidisciplinary Approach"

The Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad, is organising a SPARC seminar titled “Marginalised Voices, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Community Media: A Multidisciplinary Approach,” to be held on 22–23 January 2026.

The seminar is convened in honour of Professor Vinod Pavarala on the occasion of his retirement from the University of Hyderabad, in recognition of his distinguished scholarly contributions and sustained engagement with community media, participatory communication, and communication for social change. As part of the programme, Dr. Rajesh Tandon has been invited to participate and chair a session titled “Indigenous Languages, Orality and Media as Knowledge Practices,” scheduled for 22 January 2026.
