Seminar on "Marginalised Voices, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Community Media: A Multidisciplinary Approach"

Dr. Rajesh Tandon participated in the SPARC Seminar on "Marginalised Voices, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Community Media: A Multidisciplinary Approach," organised by the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad, on 22–23 January 2026.

The seminar was convened in honour of Professor Vinod Pavarala on the occasion of his retirement from the University of Hyderabad, recognising his distinguished contributions to community media, participatory communication, and communication for social change.

As part of the programme, Dr. Tandon chaired the session "Indigenous Languages, Orality and Media as Knowledge Practices" on 22 January 2026. The session explored the role of indigenous languages, oral traditions, and community media in preserving diverse knowledge systems and promoting inclusive communication practices.
