The University of Aberdeen, Scotland, hosted the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) 2025 conference from 27 to 29 May 2025. Framed around the theme "Transitions, Traditions, and Tensions," the conference examined the evolving landscape of science communication by exploring the intersections of change and continuity, conventional practices and innovative methodologies, as well as divergent and collaborative perspectives shaping the field. Against the backdrop of urgent global challenges—including the climate crisis, food and water insecurity, public health concerns, and poverty alleviation—PCST 2025 provided a critical platform for reflecting on the transformative role of science communication in fostering meaningful societal engagement and impact.
Dr. Rajesh Tandon presented on the topic ‘Frameworks of Open Science’ at the conference.
