In collaboration with UNICEF India, ROSHNI – Centre for Women and Child Studies (CWCSA), Lady Irwin College, organised a two-day Partner Consultation on SBC Landscape Analysis: Generating New Pathways for Scale, Equity and Sustainability in New Delhi on 15–16 June 2026.

The consultation brought together key stakeholders to discuss emerging approaches and collaborative strategies for strengthening Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) initiatives and enhancing their impact, equity, and sustainability.

The first day focused on reviewing SBC across flagship government programmes, with discussions on policy, financing, governance, workforce capacity, evidence generation, and implementation challenges. Participants highlighted the need to strengthen SBC as an integrated system rather than as isolated interventions.

On the second day, the dialogue shifted towards identifying practical pathways for building stronger SBC systems. Discussions explored community ownership, capacity building, evidence-informed decision-making, sustainable financing, and the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in advancing behaviour change initiatives. A key takeaway was the importance of combining technology with trusted community engagement to create inclusive, scalable, and sustainable SBC systems.

The consultation concluded with a shared commitment to advancing collaborative action and translating these insights into stronger policies and practices. Dr. Rajesh Tandon and Ms. Nikita Rakhyani participated in the consultation, contributing to discussions on strengthening participatory, inclusive, and sustainable development outcomes.
