As Odisha approached its centenary year in 2036, the state prepared to develop a bold and transformative roadmap for the future. The Odisha Vikash Conclave (OVC) 2025, held on November 26–27 in Bhubaneswar, brought together more than 500 participants from diverse sectors, including communities, civil society, government, academia, youth networks, and the private sector. The conclave aimed to deliberate on the state’s transition toward a more inclusive, climate-resilient, and people-centric future.

The event was organised around five interconnected pillars:

Pillar 1: Ecosystem Protection & Restoration
Pillar 2: Just Transitions, Livelihoods, and Inclusive Economies
Pillar 3: Knowledge, Technology, and Governance for a Resilient Future
Pillar 4: Addressing Vulnerability Multipliers
Pillar 5: Social Agency, Leadership, and Accountability

More than 500 delegates from over 40 organisations contributed across 15 thematic tracks. In addition, special boardroom discussions and plenary sessions featured experts, practitioners, and policymakers who helped synthesise ideas into actionable pathways.

Dr. Rajesh Tandon and Mr. Yedu Krishnan V., attended the conclave. Dr. Tandon shared emerging insights from the global DECODE case studies.
