National Workshop on “Strategies for Enhancing Own Source Revenue (OSR) of Panchayats”

NITI Aayog organised a half-day National Workshop on “Strategies for Enhancing Own Source Revenue (OSR) of Panchayats” on 24th July 2025, under the chairmanship of Shri Rajiv Gauba, Member, NITI Aayog.

The workshop aimed to provide strategic direction for augmenting the Own Source Revenue of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) – a crucial step towards strengthening fiscal decentralisation and improving public service delivery at the grassroots level. The discussions focused on actionable recommendations, cross-learning between states, and innovative institutional and technological approaches for effective OSR mobilisation.

The event brought together senior officials from Central Ministries, State Governments, domain experts, and practitioners to deliberate on key policy and implementation strategies.
Dr. Anshuman Karol was invited to contribute to the discussions at this important national platform.
