The chair's main areas of focus include international relations and regional studies, religious studies, ethnology, and anthropology; cultural dialogue, adaptation, and integration of international migrants through education; interfaith dialogue, interethnic harmony, and fostering civic and ethno-cultural identity; as well as promoting multilingualism through education and enlightenment.

The UNESCO Chair on "International Education and the Integration of Migrants" at Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU), Russian Federation, has extended an invitation to Dr. Rajesh Tandon, in his capacity as UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education, to participate in the Thematic Session on "Intercultural Dialogue and Partnership in Education", scheduled for September 18, 2024, at 15:00 MSC (Moscow time).

The session aims to establish connections, strengthen partnerships, and promote future collaboration and joint projects between the MPGU UNESCO Chair and similar educational and research units from universities in BRICS+ countries.
