The six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan concluded successfully at UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (UGC-MMTTC), Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur, Sonipat, from 23–28 March 2026.
The programme brought together academicians and practitioners to explore participatory research approaches that connect academic knowledge with community engagement. Through expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and field visits, participants gained practical insights into applying Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) to address grassroots challenges and promote inclusive, sustainable development.
The FDP featured distinguished speakers, including Shri Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (RUSA/UBA), Ministry of Education; Prof. (Dr.) Sudesh, Vice-Chancellor, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya; Prof. Virendra Kumar Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT Delhi; Dr. Rajesh Tandon, Member, UGC SEG Committee; and Dr. Diksha Rajput, Joint Secretary, UGC.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Dr. Shefali Nagpal, Director, UGC-MMTTC, and Dr. Manju Panwar, Professor, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, whose guidance contributed to its successful implementation.
