The UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education organised a webinar, "Decolonized, Community-Led Co-Construction of Knowledge Towards Climate Resilience," on April 3, 2025. This session, part of the DECODE Project, explored how diverse knowledge systems shape climate action. A highlight was the Indian case study, "Food from Forest – Bridging Tradition, Science, and Sustainability in the Himalayas," where community leaders and researchers came together to share how collaborative, locally-rooted knowledge can help tackle the climate crisis.

Funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and led by the UNESCO Chair, the DECODE Project builds on the Knowledge Democracy studies pioneered by Dr. Rajesh Tandon and Prof. Budd Hall.

Please find the DECODE Working Paper #2 summarising key findings.
