The DECODE Knowledge Project, led by the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education and supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), will convene an international webinar on 29 September 2026 to explore how community and Indigenous knowledge systems can contribute to climate resilience. The webinar will take place in two sessions, Session 1 from 08:30am UTC and Session 2 from 3:00 pm UTC.

Drawing on insights from ten case studies across the globe, the webinar will bring together climate researchers, practitioners, community leaders and policymakers to examine the role of knowledge democracy and CBPR in addressing contemporary climate challenges.
