2026 Global Innovation Conference for Research, Policy, and Practice

The 2026 Global Innovation Conference for Research, Policy, and Practice, co-hosted by the Impact Funders Forum and the Centre for Evidence and Implementation, will bring together an international community of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry leaders and funders to explore innovative approaches to connecting research with societal needs and decision-making.

Building on previous conferences held in Miami (2022) and Cape Town (2024), the conference will focus on strengthening the translation of research and evidence into policy, practice and meaningful societal impact.Key themes will include research translation, institutionalising and scaling effective approaches, cross-sector collaboration, and emerging influences such as artificial intelligence, global coordination and trust in science.

The conference will also launch IMPACT, a new journal and online platform dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice on the societal impact of research.

Dr. Rajesh Tandon and Dr. Kaustuv Kanti Bandyopadhyay will be attending the conference, contributing to global conversations on strengthening the connections between research, policy and practice.
