Project Title: Strengthening Monitoring & Learning Systems in Networks of the Urban Poor (Phase I) (India, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa and Thailand)

The overall purpose of this exercise is to strengthen the capacity of networks and organizations of the urban poor to critically monitor their progress in order to draw lessons that can be shared more widely for scaled-up impacts.

Objectives

The overall purpose of this exercise is to strengthen the capacity of networks and organizations of the urban poor to critically monitor their progress in order to draw lessons that can be shared more widely for scaled-up impacts.
Specifically, this purpose will serve three objectives:
a) to enable each grantee to strengthen its participatory monitoring and internal learning systems and capacities;
b) to facilitate collective sharing of such learning among the grantees with a view to enhance their own practices; and,
c) to facilitate dissemination of such lessons in a manner that can have wider impacts on policy-makers and donors working on this set of issues.

PRIA would work with SDI, SPARC and ACHR, (IPA would be the partner of Rockefeller and would focus upon CORC, Pamoja Trust and Jamii Bora in Africa)
