Project Title: India Study Visit - Right to Government Information and Budget Transparency.

This project was undertaken to conduct an exposure visit on Government Transparency and Budget Accountability for Ford Foundation grantee organizations, government officials and media persons from China and Indonesia.

Objectives
    To orient and conduct exposure visit on Government Transparency and Budget Accountability for Ford Foundation grantee organisations, government officials and media persons from China and Indonesia

Delhi, Jharkhand, Gujarat Karnataka and Rajasthan

  • Orientation on Indian Policy, society and economy and budget framework for transparency in accounting
  • Orientation on different tools to enforce social accountability
  • Exposure visit to Delhi, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Karnataka and Rajasthan in two groups

Key outputs
  • Participant got oriented on Right to Information, Social Auditing and Budget Accountability
  • They learnt how Indian experience can be applied in their countries and their area of operation
